Maru Ramirez
Kindergarten & Early Childhood Lead Teacher
A teacher since 1982, Sra. Ramirez joined our faculty in 2007 as an Early Childhood teacher.She now leads our Kindergarten classroom. She earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Pedagogico Santo Domingo De Guzman and a Masters in Bilingual Education from Universidad del Este. She participants in ongoing professional development centered on the teachings of Project Zero and also provides professional development for educators throughout the DC area on how to use documentation of student thinking to promote deeper understanding.

PreK3 Spanish Teacher
Ms. Paty joined the Sacred Heart team in 2015. She plays an important role in our early childhood program as the PreK3 lead teacher. She assists in the creation, execution, and documentation of bilingual lessons designed to support the holistic development of each young learner. Ms. Paty earned her Degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic, and is seeking her CDA certification this year.
Maria Elena Rodriguez
PreK4 Spanish Teacher
Sra. Rodriguez plays a critical role as part of our early childhood team. She first joined Sacred Heart as the PreK3 Spanish Teacher in 2015 before moving on to work with PreK4 in 2019. She is from Peru and moved to the states 25 years ago. She holds a degree in Early Childhood education. Sra.Rodriguez has over 20 years experience working in early childhood and with young children. She plays a key role in praparing, executing and documenting her students learning. She enjoyes traveling back home and spending time with her family.

PreK3 Spanish Aide
Sra. Gonzalez joined Sacred Heart as both the PreK3 Spanish Teacher Aide and parent in 2012. She assists in the creation, e xe cution, and documentation of lessons deisgned to support the holistic development of each learner and bolster Spanish language acquisition. She earned her degr ee from Eliseo Alberto Manferrer in El Salvador and is currently pursuing ongoing professional development in Project Zero practices.
Yesenia Benitez
PreK4 Spanish Aide
Sra. Yesenia is from El Salvador. She joined the Sacred Heart community in 2017 as the PreK4 aide. She has many years of experience working with young children. Sra.Yesenia works along side with Sra.Rodriguez to ensure that all their students grow academically. She helps ensure their students feel loved and safe in their classroom in order to help them be sucessful. She plays a key role in supporting Sra.Rodriguez with creation, execition and documentaion of learning.
