How you can help:

* Practice coin recognition with a fun online game: http://www.abcya.com/learning_coins.htm * Let your child help you count bills and coins to pay when shopping (make sure he or she counts the change as well)
* Give your child math problems. For example, ask them:
I have three coins in my pocket. They are worth 7 cents. What do I have?
(a nickel and 2 pennies)
I have three coins in my pocket. They are worth 16 cents. What do I have?
(a dime, a nickel, a penny)
