Visual Arts and Technology Teacher
Ms. Lafferty joined the Sacred Heart faculty in 2016 as our visual arts teacher. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Art from St. Mary's College of Maryland and also studied at Temple University Abroad in Rome, Italy. She formally taught at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Silver Spring. In 2018, she took on the role of Technology teacher. Inspired by her son, Justin, who competed in a National Robotics competition, Ellen wants to ensure all children have access to 21st century educational opportunities.
Jayson Suggs
Music and Physical Education Teacher
Mr. Suggs joined our faculty in 2015 as our music teacher. He earned his Masters of Music from Morgan State University where he also served as the Percussion Coordinator of the Morgan State Marching Band. With expertise ranging from jazz composition to church concerts, Mr. Suggs shares and promotes the love of music with all of our learners. In addition, Jayson brings his passion for sports to our community through his role as PE Teacher. He hopes that all children can learn the value of being a part of a team and working hard to maintain good health!
